My mother took me to London in 1984. I spent my days wandering around Knightsbridge and the Theatre District looking for Punks to photograph and records and magazines to buy. Being a teenager growing up in Shreveport, I didn't feel like I ever got to see anything "cool." So, I was totally delighted and felt right at home exploring this huge city. I took this photo of Shaftesbury Avenue and love the juxtaposition of the "punk" couple and the "yuppie" couple crossing the street. And I love the way the old bus looks. I layered in more recent photos of graffiti add some texture.
